Marchewka of One Commercial Real Estate Appointed 2017 Realtor of the Year

Bob Marchewka, Principal Broker of One Commercial Real Estate, has been appointed 2017 Realtor of the Year by the New Hampshire Commercial Investment Board of Realtors (NHCIBOR).

Located in Bedford, NHCIBOR has been empowering commercial realtors for over 40 years. They provide their members with continuing education courses, professional development opportunities, and a variety of events to learn and network in the real estate community.

Marchewka has been a dedicated member of NHCIBOR since 1997, having served on its Board of Directors since 2014 and as President in 2016. He has led and contributed to many of the organization’s committees, including Sponsorship, Public Policy, Government Affairs and RPAC.

Marchewka is currently serving on the National Association of Realtors State and Local Issues Mobilization Committee, and he is Vice Chariman of the City of Portsmouth Economic Development Commission. He also serves as Chair for the Public Policy Committee at NHCIBOR.


One Commercial Real Estate Finds New Location For Fit Body Transformations

Bob Marchewka of One Commercial Real Estate recently represented Pearla Philips of Fit Body Transformations to find a new location for her fitness training facility. After looking at properties throughout the Route 101/125 corridor, Pearla chose a 3,700 square-foot space at the Carriage Towne Plaza in Kingston, New Hampshire. Maxine Kenny of KW Commercial, a real estate agency in Portsmouth, represented the landlord Sarnia Properies, Inc.

Having previously occupied a space in Brentwood for Fit Body Transformations, Philips made the decision to relocate for more space, room to grow her fitness facility, and to reap the benefits of a better geographic location.

“A mutual friend mentioned to Bob that I was looking for a new space,” Philips said. “He kindly reached out letting me know about the available space in Kingston, and took care of all the arrangements so we could view it. Once I saw it I knew it was the place for Fit Body Transformations. Throughout the process, Bob really took all of the work out of finding a space and gave professional insight and advice along the way. What had taken me 18 months to do, Bob had made happen in two short weeks.”

Pearla Phillips opened Fit Body Transformations in 2012. Her vision was to bring an innovative fitness training business to the area that integrated world class programming with an unmatched client experience, to help people enjoy reaching their fitness and performance goals and live a pain-free life through functional training and nutrition.


One Commercial Real Estate Leases 4,000SF Downtown Portsmouth Restaurant

Bob Marchewka of One Commercial Real Estate recently represented Scott and Karen Logan in their lease of 409 The Hill, a property in Downtown Portsmouth and the previous home of their business, The Blue Mermaid Restaurant. Marchewka’s clients, Logan Properties LLC, leased the 4,000 square foot property to Tom and Jenny Nelson of Nelson Enterprises. The Nelsons will be renovating the building and opening a new restaurant on The Hill this summer.

After 23 years of business in Portsmouth, Scott and Karen Logan temporarily closed the doors of the Blue Mermaid Island Grill with plans to reopen in Kittery, Maine. Their new location, set to open by late September, will allow them the space to expand their catering business and provide salsa production for the restaurant.

“Working with Bob was great,” Scott Logan said. “He is professional, personable and very knowledgeable of the industry. He continually put our best interests first, and was very fair and understanding throughout the process. I would recommend him as a realtor to anyone.”

The Nelsons, represented in the lease by Scott Forte of Prudential Verani Realty, plan to open a new restaurant at 409 The Hill called Nibblesworth. Set to open by the end of July, the restaurant will have a mod-traditional flavor and a wood-fire grill, featuring traditional recipes with a modern flair.

The Nelsons plan to renovate and make improvements to the electrical, heating and air conditioning systems to the property as they build Nibblesworth into a destination restaurant for Portsmouth.


Marchewka of One Commercial Real Estate Appointed to National Realtor Committee

Portsmouth, NH – Bob Marchewka, Principal Broker of One Commercial Real State, has been appointed to a national committee for realtors: the National Association of Realtors State and Local Issues Mobilization Committee. He will serve as an active member of the board through 2017 and 2018.

The Issues Mobilization Committee meets monthly to discuss and approve grant requests from state and local realtor boards across the country. These boards mobilize for or against various legislative proposals, or attempt to effect change in their communities through the political process.

This year, the May committee meeting will be held at the National Association of Realtors mid-year conference in Washington, DC. Marchewka will attend on behalf of One Commercial Real Estate, as well as the New England Commercial Property Exchange – one of the oldest and most established Commercial Information Exchange services in the country. The New England database serves to help professionals share real estate information in New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont and Massachusetts.

One Commercial Real Estate recently represented Interior Magic New England in the purchase of their new business location at 90 Lafayette Road in North Hampton, NH. Previously occupied by Triumph Motorcycle Dealership, the new space for Interior Magic of New England is 8,400 square feet.
